Lewis Hamilton, real name Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton was born in Stevenage, Hertfordshire in 1985 and is a Formula One racing professional.
Lewis was originally signed by Mercedes Benz & McLaren to their Young Driver Support Programme when he was only 13. He quickly proved his worth by winning the Formula 3 series and GP2 championships before making his professional Formula 1 debut for McLaren in 2007.
Lewis went on to win the World Championship in 2008, at the time he was the youngest racer to ever do so. Numerous other world records followed whilst he was with McLaren, until he left them in 2013 to join Mercedes in 2013.
Many F1 wins, including 7 World Championships followed, as well as being awarded the MBE by HRH the Queen in 2009.
