Hailed by many as starting the punk scene in the UK, the Sex Pistols originally formed in London in 1975. Steve Jones, Paul Cook, Glen Matlock, Johnny Rotten and the late Sid Vicious were the original band members.
Known for their self promoting "shock" tactics almost as much as their music, the Sex Pistols went on to release 1 studio album, "Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols" and 12 other albums, including live compilations.
The Pistols reformed in 1996 after their split in 1978.
