An English singer-songwriter, multi-musician and record producer, David Jon Gilmour CBE (born 1946) debuted in as co-vocalist and guitarist with legendary rock band Pink Floyd. Albums including “Dark Side of the Moon” and “Wish You Were Here” sealed Pink Floyd’s international success, selling over 250 million records worldwide.
During his solo career, Gilmour has worked with artists such as Dream Academy and produced four albums, earning him an Outstanding Contribution to Music Award in 2008. In 2005, he was made Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his services to music.
