Paul Frederic Simon is a musician, singer-songwriter and actor. Born in 1941, Simon partnered with Art Garfunkel in 1964, forming the duo Simon and Garfunkel. The pair split in 1970, after a hugely successful career that produced number 1 hits such as "Mrs Robinson" and "Bridge over Troubled Water".
Simon released "Graceland" in 1986, which won a Grammy for Album of the Year. He also starred in and wrote the 1980 film "One Trick Pony" as well as a number of Broadway musicals. All in all, Simon has won 12 Grammys, including a Lifetime Achievement Award and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Music degree in 1986.
