Considered one of the most influential rock bands in history, The Who formed in 1968. This English rock band includes Roger Daltrey as lead vocalist, guitarist Pete Townshend, John Entwistle on the bass and drummer Keith Moon.

Evolving from an earlier group The Detours, The Who quickly established themselves as part of the pop art and mod movements, often destroying guitars and props on stage. Reaching the UK Top 10 with their first single "I Can’t Explain" The Who produced a string of singles including "Substitute" and "My Generation".

Eight successful studio albums later, the 1978 album "Who Are You" was greatly overshadowed by Moon’s death. After many live performances, film adaptations, tours and documentaries, the band split in 1982. However, they resumed touring in 1999 and, after Entwistle’s death in 2002, released "Endless Wire". The Who’s contributions to rock have made them one of the most powerful groups of the 20th century.
